High level meeting regarding conduct of annual exams for higher Secondary certificate held

Karachi: Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Sindh Agha Jan Akhtar presided a meeting regarding conduct of Higher Secondary Examination being held throughout Sindh Province. The meeting was attended by Chairman BISE Hyderabad Prof. Abdul Aleem Khanzada, Controller of Examinations BISE Hyderabad Mr. Wasi Raza Abidi, Commissioner Hyderabad Division Mr. Ahmed Bux Narejo, Commissioner Mirpurkhas Division Mr. Ghulam Hussain Memon, DIG Police Hyderabad Mr. Sanaullah Abbasi, DIG Police Mirpurkhas Mr. Ghulam Haider Jamali, Director General Culture Waheed Shaikh, Registrar Cooperative Societies Dr. Azhar, Special Secretary to C.M Mr. Nazar Muhammad Bozdar, Additional Secretary to C.M Mr. Bilal Memon and others.

Principal Secretary to C.M said that the Chief Minister Sindh has directed the Home Department to declare all examination centres as “Protected areas” and necessary security measures be arranged in the province for all examination centres.

He said that data bank of all invigilators be prepared for those who took part in Annual Examination of SSC (Matric) for all Boards. Agha Jan Akhtar directed to take disciplinary action against those invigilators who were found involved in mis-conduct, impersonation, copying cases and other irregularities.

He further warned that severe action be taken against those employees who are involved in illegal acts, major penalty may be imposed upon them and cases can be processed for removal from service.

It was informed in the meeting that Annual Examinations of HSC (Intermediate) are being held from May 5, at Karachi and from May 7, at all centres of remaining areas of the province, and Chairmen of all Boards were envisaged the powers of internal control.

The Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners, DIG Police and other police officers were asked that there should be complete implementation of section 144 Cr.P.C while there will be complete ban on use of mobile phones during examinations, and in case of violation, the mobile cells will be forfeited. It was further decided that no interference should be allowed and any invigilator or student who is found indulged in any irregularity, will be dealt accordingly.

It was informed that a meeting has been held with KESC and the management of KESC has assured to improve the supply of electricity during examinations. Commissioner Hyderabad also informed that the meeting with HESCO authorities has been held and they had assured to supply power during examinations. The Board managements were asked that Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners be extended all support, who will supervise the process of conduct of annual examinations.
