Horrific Killing of Three Assamese Muslims in Meghalaya Sparks Outrage

Three Muslim youths from Assam were tragically burnt alive in Meghalaya, an act that has led to widespread shock and calls for justice throughout the region. The incident, involving the brutal murder of Jamal Ali, Noor Mohammad, and Zahidul Islam, occurred while they were traveling to Meghalaya from Golpara district in Assam. According to Kashmir Media Service, the young men, identified as small traders, were intercepted by an anti-Muslim group, attacked, and their vehicle was set ablaze with them inside. The bodies were found in a makeshift grave in a jungle, igniting immediate condemnation and a demand for a thorough investigation into the killings. Ashik Rabbani, a student leader and president of the Muslim Student Union of Assam (MSUA), has been vocal in demanding a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe and compensation for the victims’ families.
