IG Punjab visits CTD Headquarter

Lahore, July 09, 2019 (PPI-OT): Inspector General Police Punjab Captain (Retd) Arif Nawaz Khan said that Counter Terrorism Department is front-line of Punjab police in war against terrorism and their efforts to curb anti-social and extremist elements are laudable timely actions from the officers and officials of CTD has foiled many dangerous terrorist plans and despite very dangerous circumstances they brought many high profile terrorists in the court of law.

He further said that CTD officers and officials should follow the SOP for their protection and should gear up the action against anti-social elements and terrorist taking precautionary measures so that such elements can be uprooted from society. He expressed these views while addressing the officers during his visit to CTD headquarters. During visit Addl IG CTD Muhammad Tahir Rai briefed IG Punjab about the performance of CTD and ongoing operations he further shared that CTD is doing intelligence based operations against the terrorist anti-social elements and their facilitators across all districts of province.

IG Punjab directed Addl IG CTD that every official of CTD should stand tall and firm against the terrorist elements and should carry out sacred duty of protecting the lives and properties of public. IG Punjab also visited different departments at CTD Headquarter and asked officers about their working and also gave important directions to further improve their working.
