Indian captain fell and died in Bandipore district

Srinagar, August 09, 2015 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, an Indian army officer was killed after he slipped and rolled down into a deep gorge near the Line of Control (LoC) in Gurez sector of Bandipora district. A senior army official in a media interview in Srinagar said that Indian army’s 36 RR had launched massive searches in the forest area of Koragbal close to the LoC.

“An army Captain, Prem Kumar, slipped and rolled down into a deep gorge”, the official said, adding that the injured officer was shifted to military hospital in Srinagar, but succumbed to injuries. Pertinently, on June 12, 2015, a rifleman Ravinder Singh of 15 RR had met the same fate as he slipped the search operation at Javard forest area in the same sector.
