According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting: This year’s theme, “amplifying the leadership of persons with disabilities for an inclusive and sustainable future,” highlights the importance of empowering individuals with disabilities to take active roles in shaping their communities and societies. The observance serves as a reminder of the ongoing efforts needed to create a more inclusive world where all individuals can participate fully and equally.

The International Day of Persons with Disabilities was proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly in 1992. Since then, it has been marked annually on December 3rd, providing an opportunity to reflect on progress and challenges in promoting disability rights globally.
