Iran Offers Assistance for Pakistan Flood Victims

Islamabad: Iran has offered assistance for the flood-affected people of Pakistan. The offer was made by Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni during a telephonic conversation with the Interior Minister of Pakistan.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Iranian Interior Minister stated that Pakistan is considered a brotherly neighboring country and emphasized Iran’s readiness to provide every kind of assistance during this challenging time. He expressed sorrow over the loss of lives due to the torrential rains and floods, particularly in the regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit. Momeni conveyed Iran’s deep sadness over the destruction caused by the floods in Pakistan.

Eskandar Momeni assured that Iran stands shoulder to shoulder with the people of Pakistan. In response, Mohsin Naqvi expressed gratitude to his Iranian counterpart for the offer of assistance and the display of solidarity towards the flood victims. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to the relief and rehabilitation efforts for those affected by the floods.
