Japan floods: Death toll rises to 176

In Japan, the death toll from floods and landslides caused by record rainfall in the western part of the country has risen to 176.

Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe visited flood-stricken parts today.

Authorities said some are in critical condition and dozens are missing, while rescue operation is underway.
