Japanese Consul-General delivers Lecture on Education System of Japan

Karachi, April 12, 2013 (PPI-OT): Mr. Akira Ouchi, Consul-General of Japan at Karachi, delivered a lecture on the “Education System of Japan” at Hamdard University on April 11th. The lecture took place at the auditorium of Hamdard University and the faculty and over 150 students attended the lecture with keen interest.

At the outset, “The School Day” and “Brides of Japan ~Study Abroad Guide For A Brave New World~” were shown before the lecture. In his lecture, Mr. Akira Ouchi introduced Japanese school system and campus life and stated that the Japanese people regard education as a key for the prosperity of their children as well as the society.

He also emphasized that both basicand higher education are essential for the development of Pakistan and hoped that the students attending the lecture would make the most of the acquired knowledge in contributing to a better future of Pakistan.

Mr. Akira Ouchi also mentioned that Japan and Pakistan have enjoyed over 60 year diplomatic relationship and hoped that the mutual understanding and friendship will be strengthened more in the years ahead.
