Karachi: Minister for Maritime Affairs Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry has announced the successful berthing of the first-ever fully transshipment cargo vessel, M.V. ERLIN, at Karachi Port.
According to Radio Pakistan, Karachi Port previously handled only container transshipment, but the current development represents a shift in port operations. The Minister stated that this move could help position Pakistan as a key maritime hub in the region, linking international trade routes and expanding business opportunities.
