Karachi Deputy Mayor Confirms City’s Readiness for Monsoon Season

Karachi: Deputy Mayor Salman Abdullah Murad announced that Karachi Metropolitan Corporation has completed preparations to manage the upcoming monsoon challenges. The city has strategically placed dewatering pumps at critical locations like highways and underpasses to prevent flooding.

According to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, Deputy Mayor Murad has been actively inspecting various areas to ensure readiness. He highlighted the role of the Chief Minister of Sindh’s nominated focal person in leading these efforts, emphasizing that the city’s care is a shared responsibility. Murad criticized detractors for not contributing positively and affirmed his commitment to continue work despite criticism, reminding that while Karachi Metropolitan controls thirty percent of the area, other agencies also bear responsibility for their sectors.
