Karachi Metropolitan Corporation Administrator addresses condolence meeting in memory of Z.A. Nizami

Karachi, April 12, 2013 (PPI-OT): KMC Administrator Syed Hashim Raza Ziadi has announced to name seminar hall of Civic Centre after former Director General KDA Zil-e-Ahmed Nizami whereas an important road and bridge will also be named after him for paying homage to his great services which he performed for Karachi. Administrator Karachi announced this while addressing a condolence meeting held in memory of Z.A. Nizami under KDA Labor Union. He said that Z.A. Nizami was one of those who performed great services for Karachi.

He as a Director General Karachi Development Authority prepared unique projects for development of the city which were all successful. An excellent building in the face of Civic Centre also belongs to his era. Z.A Nizami was a great town planner whose capabilities were accepted on international level and he also received honor of town planning of Haramain Sharifain in Saudi Arabia.

He was a marvelous administrator therefore he having advance planning for upcoming requirements acquired 200 acre plan in city education situated on Superhighway and also made planning for educational requirements of the city.

He gave a gift of Sir Syed Engineering University as a first private university in Karachi where thousands of students were getting education. He said demise of Z.A. Nizami was my personal loss and I equally share the pain with his family. On this occasion former Federal Minister Haji Hanif Tayyab said that condolence meeting in memory of Z.A. Nizami was worth admiring. He played an important role in order to develop Karachi on modern lines.

He said Z.A. Nizami always supported and patronized the public welfare projects and his services would never be forgotten. Former Federal Minister Bostan Ali Hoti, former Provincial Minister Dost Muhammad Faizi, Chairman of KDA Labor Union Maqsood Butt, General Secretary of KDA Officers Association Sultan Ahmed, renowned writer Rizwan Siddiqui, Sr. Director Master Plan Iftikhar Kaimkhani, son of Z.A Nizami Dr. Farrukh Nizami, Qamar-uz-Zafar Khan, Barrister Habib-ur-Rehman, former Director Finance Waris Ali Khan and Ali Hassan Sajid also spoke on the occasion and son of Z.A. Nizami Naveed Nizami, Daughter Afshan, Qamar-uz-Zaman, Muhammad Ashraf, Rasheed Khan and a good number of KDA officers and employees were present.
