Karachi to Host Large Eid Prayer Gathering at Gulshan Jinnah Polo Ground

Karachi, The city of Karachi is set to conduct its largest Eid prayer gathering at Gulshan Jinnah (Polo Ground) at 8:00 am, managed by the Baldiya Uzma Karachi (Karachi Metropolitan Corporation). This event, continuing a tradition since 1958, will see prominent city figures and citizens coming together for the special prayers.

According to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, spokesperson Ali Hassan Sajid confirmed the Polo Ground as the historical site for this significant religious assembly. Deputy Mayor Salman Abdullah Murad, Municipal Commissioner SM Afzal Zaidi, alongside diplomats, ministers, assembly members, and local dignitaries, will participate in the event. Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab has ensured the provision of special facilities like ablution areas and stringent security measures. Additional arrangements include disinfectant spraying, a floral gate at the entrance, and the perfuming of the Eid Gah and its vicinity.

The emphasis on inclusivity and celebration as per Islamic principles was highlighted by Mayor Wahab, stressing the importance of sharing the joy of Eid with the less fortunate.
