Karachi Zoo Celebrates Birth of Rare Animals, Enhances Conservation Efforts

Karachi: Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab announced the birth of new wildlife at Karachi Zoo, including two African lion cubs and several rare deer fawns, emphasizing the zoo’s commitment to species conservation and public education.

According to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, the zoo has taken extensive measures to safeguard the health of the newborn animals, isolating the lion cubs in a specially monitored environment and intensifying care for the newly born white and black deer, along with three spotted deer fawns. These additions are part of a broader effort to enhance the genetic diversity and public appeal of the zoo’s collections. The zoo’s administration is also focused on providing quality nutrition and healthcare to all animals, ensuring they thrive in well-maintained habitats, which has significantly enriched the visitor experience, particularly for children and student groups.
