Muzaffarabad, June 21, 2023 (PPI-OT): Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir has announced to observe the 7th martyrdom anniversary of the prominent Kashmiri youth leader Burhan Muzaffar Wani on July 8 as “Resistance Day”. Chairman Pasban-e-Hurriyat Uzair Ahmed Ghazali addressing a press conference in Muzaffarabad said that Kashmiri martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir are our true heroes.
Usman Ali Hashim, Muhammad Fayyaz Khan, Liaquat Ali Rana, Muhammad Kamran, Dr. Safeer Ahmed Sheikh and Qasid Farooq were also present in the press conference. He said that Burhan Wani added a new chapter in the resistance movement against Indian state oppression.
Ghazali said that Burhan Wani Shaheed had declared “resistance” as the only solution against the India’s occupation of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that rallies will be held across Azad Jammu and Kashmir to pay homage to the martyrs of Kashmir including Burhan Muzaffar Wani who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of Jammu and Kashmir from Indian military occupation. Burhan Wani along with his associates were martyred on July 8, 2016, by Indian troops in Tral area of Pulwama district.
