NC initiates campaign to expose five-year misrule by Modi regime in IIOJK

Jammu, June 21, 2023 (PPI-OT):Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (NC), headed by Farooq Abdullah, has initiated a campaign to expose five-year misrule in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir by Narendra Modi-led Indian government. According to Kashmir Media Service, the NC commenced its campaign for the upcoming Urban Local Body (ULB) polls with a convention in Lakhanpur town in Kathua district of Jammu region.

Addressing the gathering, senior NC leader and Provincial President Jammu, Rattan Lal Gupta, highlighted the democratic deprivation faced by the people of Jammu and Kashmir under the Modi-led Indian regime which has extended for an unprecedented five years. He expressed concern over the absence of Assembly elections in the occupied territory during this period, depriving the people of their right to choose representatives and leading to disillusionment and instability. He urged the Modi regime to avoid misleading the public with inconsequential information.

Gupta highlighted the administration’s failure to address pressing issues such as inflation, unemployment, water scarcity, power cuts, and the regularization of daily wagers. He assured the public of the NC’s commitment to their welfare and promised to repeal the undemocratically imposed property tax if the party assumes power in the upcoming ULB elections. The NC leader said he and his party will continue to expose the five years’ misrule of IIOJK by the BJP government and will not let its leadership succeed in spreading canards about the development.
