Kashmiris to stage anti India demo during Modi’s address to UNGA: AJK PM

President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry has said that the Kashmiri diaspora community would hold an anti-India protest demonstration in front of the UN office in New York on 26th of this month when Indian premier Narendra Modi will address the UN General Assembly.

In a statement, he said the protest would be attended by the representatives of the Kashmiri expatriate community from different parts of the world. He said that the protest is meant to expose India’s nefarious designs in the region besides seeking the global community’s attention towards the fast deteriorating political and human rights situation in the Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The President urged the Kashmiri expatriate community in America and other parts of the world to make it a success. He said that arrangements for this demonstration have been finalized.

Meanwhile, the President of Kashmir Peace Forum International UK, Karamat Hussain called on Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry in Islamabad today.

On this occasion, the AJK President said it is high time that the international community should play its much-needed role to help resolve the lingering Kashmir dispute peacefully in accordance with the UNSC resolutions.
