Pakistan wants to bolster cultural ties with Iran in diverse fields: Jamal Shah

Caretaker Minister for Culture and National Heritage Jamal Shah says Pakistan wants to bolster cultural ties with Iran in diverse fields including arts, film, handicrafts, literature, heritage and culture.

He was talking to Cultural Counselor of Embassy of Iran Ehsan Khazaei, who called on him in Islamabad on Wednesday.

During meeting, the two sides discussed cultural ties between Pakistan and Iran, as well as the latest developments regarding those relations, including cultural agreements between the two brotherly countries.

They discussed cooperation in organizing various cultural events including Iranian films week and other cultural exchanges.

The two sides also exchanged views on Pak-Iran joint film production and decided to hold delegation level meeting to further discuss on it.

Speaking on the occasion, the Iranian Cultural Counselor said that there are many cultural and historical commonalities between Pakistan and Iran.
