Kashmiris want freedom from India: Mutahida Majlis-e-Mashawrat

Srinagar, March 02, 2013(PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Mutahida Majlis-e-Mashawrat (MMM) has said that by observing strike on Friday the people of Kashmir have once again proved that they want complete freedom from India and return of mortal remains of Kashmiri leaders, Muhammad Maqbool Butt and Muhammad Afzal Guru.

The MMM in a statement issued in Srinagar said that it was satisfying the way people of Kashmir expressed their attachment to the programmes of MMM and made them successful.

“The authorities had made arrangements to foil the protests after Friday prayers, but despite that people across Kashmir took to streets to stage protests,” the statement said. “The protests took place despite the fact that police made arrests of young boys and youth,” it added.

The MMM statement also urged the people to follow its other programmes.
