Khuhro says that Kala bag Dam should never be built

Karachi, December 11, 2012 (PPI-OT): Speaker Sindh Assembly Nisar Ahmed Khuhro has said that those who are alleging Pakistan people’s party for supporting of Kalabagh Dam were the allies of General Zia ul Haq in 1984, at that time they supported the Kala bag Dam, thus there double standard should be stopped regarding Kala bad Dam.

He was talking to media persons in his Sindh Assembly office after call on Iranian consul general Mr, Mehdi Sobhani here on Tuesday.

Speaker Sindh Assembly has said that Pakistan People’s party buried the Kala bag Dam once and for all to staging a sit in at Kamoo Shaheed in leading of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.

He said that Kala bag Dam never be built and thus issue of Kala bag Dam should be Abandoned for ever.

He said that Pakistan peoples party is accountable before the people of Pakistan and we will present ourselves before the people for accountability in upcoming general elections and people of Pakistan will take final decision.

He said that it is right of people of Pakistan whom they are choosing and the party who will get mandate who have right to form the Government.

Mean while five members delegation of Iran led by Mr, Mehdi Sobhani the new coming consul general of Iran called on speaker Sindh Assembly Nisar Ahmed Khuhro in his chamber here on Tuesday.

They discussed Pak-Iran relations, trade, legislation carried out in the Sindh Assembly and the matters of mutual interests.

The Speaker also presented the traditional Sindhi Gifts of Ajrak and Cam and also Sindh Assembly Shield to Iranian envoy.
