Korangi Association of Trade and Industry expresses concern on snatching of loaded trucks in Korangi Industrial Area

Karachi, May 16, 2013 (PPI-OT): Parton-in-Chief KATI, S.M.Muneer, Chairman, Mohammad Zubair Chhaya, and Vice Chairmen, Najmul Arfeen and Niaz Ahmed has shown their concern on snatching of loaded trucks in Korangi Industrial Area in broad day light. Yesterday, in an incident near Vita Chowrangi a truck loaded with fabrics was snatched and while in another incident occurred at Jam Sadiq Bridge a truck loaded with Chemicals was snatched on gun point. The goods loaded were worth over Rs.2,500,000/-.

They said that the incidents of snatching of loaded trucks are increasing day by day and police and law enforcing agencies are failed to curb these incidents. Also an increase is observed in the incidents of snatching of mobiles, cash and other valuables at Korangi Causeway, in spite of utmost efforts of law enforcing agencies.

They demanded I.G.Sindh and CCPO Karachi to take stern action to curtail the street crimes. Chairman Mohammad Zubair Chhaya recommended to install CCTV Cameras at Korangi Industrial Area so that snatching and other crimes could be monitored from these CCTV Cameras which will prove to be helpful in curbing the crimes from Korangi Industrial Area.
