Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Import Management Program from March 16

Lahore, March 11, 2015 (PPI-OT): The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) is starting one week training program “Certificate in Import Management” from March 16th 2015 with a view to equip young entrepreneurs with state-of-the-art import skills. The registration is already in progress and keeping in view the importance of the training program; people are rushing to reserve their seats.

The LCCI President Ijaz A Mumtaz said that the program has been designed to make participants capable of independently starting their own importing businesses and ultimately play their significant role in bridging the gap between imports and exports.

Extremely skilled trainers, who are well-versed with their subject, having vast practical knowledge of their field, would conduct the training program. Participants would be awarded certificate of participation and LCCI is optimistic that said certificate would be welcomed by the employers while appointing import managers in their companies.

After highly successful introduction of Export Management and IT training courses, LCCI has taken this valued initiative which would help potential entrepreneurs and importers to develop necessary skills and emerge as successful businessmen.

The LCCI had already organized export training programs which earned great respect for the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry. This program would have some distinct features as it would be a great mix of theory and practice; although edifying the participants with practical aspects of imports would be highly emphasized. LCCI is of the view that the only way to eradicate unemployment from the country is to educate people with practical knowledge of starting and running their own businesses which is only possible through Industry – Academia linkage.

Considering the rising demand from the industrialists and traders, LCCI has expressed its intention to continue such training programs of practical nature in future as well to provide not only trained professionals to the industry but also encourage new people to start their own ventures to create employment opportunities in the country. People from the Industry and Academia have highly appreciated this initiative and lauded LCCI for organizing such a marvellous program which was a dire need of the hour.
