Several bills introduced in the Senate

The Senate resumed its session at the Parliament House in Islamabad this evening with Chairman Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani in the chair.

Several bills were introduced in the House today. These include: ‘The Payment of Wages (Amendment) Bill, 2023’, ‘The Price Control and Prevention of Profiteering and Hoarding (Amendment) Bill, 2023’, ‘The Criminal Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2024’, ‘The National Highways Safety (Amendment) Bill, 2023’ , ‘The General Clauses (Amendment) Bill, 2022’ and ‘The Islamabad Rent Restriction (Amendment) Bill, 2023.’

The chair referred the bills to the standing committees concerned.

After conclusion of its business, the session of Senate was prorogued.
