Srinagar, A devastating landslide struck a cowshed in the Dogger ‘B’ area of Qaziabad, Kupwara district in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, resulting in the death of 12 sheep.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the incident occurred when a sudden landslide hit the cowshed owned by Mam Din Seer. Locals reported hearing a loud noise before rushing to the scene to find the structure collapsed. Despite efforts to rescue the animals, 12 sheep perished, although five sheep, a horse, and a cow were saved.

The area, known to be vulnerable to landslides, has seen repeated calls from residents for the construction of a protective wall. They claim that despite persistent appeals to the Rural Development Department, their requests for safety improvements have been ignored.
