Major crackdown by Govt against power theft underway

A major crackdown by the government against power theft is underway across the country.

According to a tweet issued by the Secretary Power Division Rashid Langrial, eight million units of power theft have been detected as a result of the crackdown.

It further said that 194 people were arrested while a fine of 352 million rupees was imposed.

The Secretary Power Division said Lahore Electric Supply Company and Multan Electric Power Company are doing better than other Distribution Companies.
