Malala’s health update

Islamabad, October 19, 2012 (PPI-OT):  Following a media briefing this morning by Dr Dave Rosser, Medical Director, consent was obtained from Pakistan High Commissioner for UK Mr Wajid Shamsul Hasan who is authorized legal guardian of Malala to take and release photographs of Malala (attached), says a press release received from London here today.

 

She would like to thank all the well-wishers for their message of support and the doctors and nurses who are treating her. In his briefing Dr Rosser explained that Malala would now need a significant period of rest and recuperation before she has reconstructive surgery.

 

Following this update there will be daily condition checks released by the Trust at 11.00am. These will be distributed via email to our media contacts and posted on our website: www.uhb.nhs.uk/malala-status.
