Mayor of Karachi Announces Development Plans for 2023

Karachi: Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab has announced that 2023 will be a year of development and progress for Karachi, with long-standing citizen issues set to be resolved. Several development projects are nearing completion, and tenders have been issued for new projects slated to begin by the end of January.

According to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, the mayor made these remarks while addressing a cultural program at Bagh Ibn-e-Qasim, Clifton. The event, attended by Parliamentary Leader of the City Council Karamullah Waqasi, Deputy Parliamentary Leader Dil Muhammad, and local leaders of the Pakistan People’s Party, featured a fireworks display enjoyed by thousands.

Mayor Wahab emphasized the need for efforts to develop Karachi into a thriving metropolis known for its diversity and harmony. He highlighted ongoing projects, such as the Malir Expressway and water supply improvements from Hub, as key initiatives. The mayor assured residents of the Pakistan People’s Party’s commitment to honoring their trust and achieving financial self-sufficiency for the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation.
