Megaport’s Award-Winning Platform Enables Direct Connections to Akamai’s CDN Platform
BRISBANE, Australia and SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 23, 2016 /PRNewswire/ — Megaport, a global leader in software defined networking (SDN) based elastic interconnection, today announced that Akamai is connecting its Intelligent Platform® to the Megaport Elastic Fabric in all of Megaport’s global markets to distribute content delivery network (CDN) services to Megaport customers.

With the onboarding of Akamai’s Intelligent Platform®, Megaport will make it easy for customers to provision direct connections to Akamai’s CDN platform in any market where Megaport has a presence. Localising traffic through direct connections with Akamai enables fast and reliable access to key content.
