Severe Floods Damage Infrastructure in Kashmir

Srinagar, Recent heavy rains have led to significant infrastructure damage across Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), affecting roads, bridges, and buildings, as reported by local authorities.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the floods have severely impacted several key structures, including the Shumriyal Bridge, Khumryal Bridge, and Shatmuqam Bridge, among others. The Shumriyal-Gundajhanger road has been particularly affected, with severe scouring and a breach in the Doban Kachama dam disrupting transportation. Additional damage includes compromised flood spill channels and waterlogging that has inundated schools, offices, and residential areas across various districts, creating further hardships for the local population.
