Islamabad, November 12, 2016 (PPI-OT): “It is indeed a matter of great pleasure to welcome all of you as newly elected and outgoing Cabinet” said the Hon’ble Chief Justice of Pakistan Mr. Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali while talking to the body of outgoing members of Supreme Court Bar Association headed by Mr. Ali Zafar Syed and newly elected body of Supreme Court Bar Association headed by its President Mr. Rasheed A. Rizvi, who called on the Hon’ble Chief Justice of Pakistan today i.e. 11.11.2016 in Supreme Court, Islamabad.
His lordship further added that Bench and Bar are integral part of judicial system therefore, it is incumbent upon both of them to address legal needs and expectations of litigant parties by providing speedy justice to them. Bidding farewell to outgoing SCBA President Mr. Ali Zafar Syed and his cabinet members, the Hon’ble Chief Justice of Pakistan praised the services rendered by them and said that the Supreme Court Bar Association under Mr. Ali Zafar Syed performed very well. All the members of his cabinet played their role devotedly and whole heartedly for the cause of dispensation of justice.
Felicitating the newly elected SCBA President Mr. Rasheed A. Rizvi and his cabinet, the Hon’ble Chief Justice of Pakistan welcomed the Bar and said that he had cordial relationship with the Bar and he will be extending full cooperation to the Bar for strengthening the institution of judiciary. The outgoing President Mr. Ali Zafar Syed also appreciated his lordship’s contribution for the cause of administration of justice.
The President newly elected Cabinet of Supreme Court Bar Association Mr. Rasheed A. Rizvi said that he and his Cabinet will extend full cooperation to strengthen the institution by supporting rule of law and independence of judiciary. At the end of meeting the Hon’ble Chief Justice of Pakistan presented shield to the outgoing cabinet members as token of respect and gesture of goodwill. They also reciprocated the gesture by presenting a memento on the occasion.
