Minister for overseas Pakistanis for speedy completion of various projects

Islamabad, January 08, 2014 (PPI-OT): Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, Pir Syed Sadaruddin Shah Rashidi has said that pace of work regarding ongoing projects being undertaken for the welfare of industrial workers, old-age pensioners and overseas Pakistanis should be accelerated so that the projects are completed at the earliest.

These views were expressed by the Minister while presiding over a meeting of senior officers of Overseas Pakistan Foundation, Old-age Employees Benefits Institution and Workers Welfare Fund here today.

The Minister also issued directions to the departments to set targets and achieve them within a time frame. He urged organizations to promote IT Culture and convert their system at the earliest which will grandly benefit specially to the old-age pensioners of EOBI through E-card and improve service delivery at all levels.

Earlier, the Minister was briefed about the progress of various on-going projects initiated by WWF, EOBI and OPF. The meeting was attended by Mr. Munir Qureshi, Secretary, OP and HRD, Managing Director, OPF, Chairman, EOBI, Secretary, WWF and other senior officers of the Ministry and the Organizations.
