Minister of federal education and professional training Mr. Rana Tanveer Hussain visited FDE stem makers spaces developed in collaboration with robot MEA in Islamabad model school for girl’s g-6/1-3 Islamabad

Islamabad, March 09, 2023 (PPI-OT): Established under Knowledge Economy Initiative PSDP funded project Sponsored by Ministry and Executed by Federal Directorate of Education through M/s Robotmea established at Islamabad model School for Girls G/6-1-3 Islamabad on International Women’s day to highlight the accomplishments of Women in technology and encourage students to pursue careers in STEAM fields.

Secretary Education Mr Waseem Ajmal Chaudhary and Director General, FDE welcomed the Minister at site while Mr Inam Jahangir Director Planning and Ms Riffat Jabeen Director Academics along with their team briefed about the project. Honourable Minister stated that he believes that investment in emerging technological fields for is crucial for the future of our state.

Girls needs to be persistent through challenges and communicate ideas and concepts more effectively. He also encouraged FDE and its team, girls and teachers on their hard work regarding showcasing their skills by making innovative robotics projects.

Pilot project for STEM teaching in 30 schools in FDE is running successfully in Islamabad which is providing equal opportunities to both male and female students to pursue and thrive in STEAM careers ensuring a diverse and talented STEAM workforce and prevents biases in these fields.
