Minister of State for Housing and Works issues instructions that officials of departments /organisations under his administrative control should have prior approval before visiting the Ministry

Islamabad, August 15, 2013 (PPI-OT): Minister of State for Housing and Works Barrister Usman Ibrahim has issued instructions that officers / officials of the departments / organizations under the administrative control of the Ministry, who frequently visit the Ministry without any prior approval or official business, should stop such visits of no use. He said such visits are contrary to the office discipline and causes breach in secrecy of official proceedings.

The Minister has also issued directives that in order to streamline the system for smooth functioning of the official business, in future no officer from the attached departments/ organizations under the administrative control of the ministry is allowed to visit the Ministry unless required for official business. Only heads of such departments may visit for official business as and when required.

Moreover, it is also directed that everyone is required to strictly adhere to the instructions to maintain confidentiality of official documents at every step which is not being followed in letter and spirit.
