Minister praises Huawei’s role in Pakistan’s digital future

Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal has commended the Huawei’s collaboration to build a digital future for Pakistan.

Talking to a delegation of Huawei Pakistan led by CEO Ethan Sun on him in Islamabad today, he called for adopting a robust digital eco-system of learning, innovation and efficiency to make the country capable of meeting digital needs of modern era.

The delegates updated the Minister about the progress on the project related to making Islamabad a model smart city.

The meeting also deliberated on digitizing education infrastructure and providing access to smart devices to students in underprivileged areas of country.

Huawei officials apprised Ahsan Iqbal that the company has an online learning management system under the smart classroom initiative, enabling students to train for new ICT courses across the country.
