Islamabad: The moon of Rabi-ul-Awwal 1448 Hijri has not been sighted anywhere in the country, and therefore, the first of Rabi-ul-Awwal will fall on Saturday.
According to Radio Pakistan, this announcement was made by the Chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, following a meeting of the Committee held in Islamabad this evening.
Consequently, the 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal, which marks Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH), will be observed on Wednesday, the 26th of this month.
