London, May 29, 2023 (PPI-OT): British Member of Parliament Andrew Gwynne who is also Chairman, Labour Friends of Kashmir, UK, has announced to raise the plight of people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and their struggle for the basic right and the case of illegally detained Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman Mohammad Yaseen Malik with the British government, next week.
Andrew Gwynne gave this assurance to the Kashmiri and Pakistani community while addressing an event organized by Jammu and Kashmir Self Determination Movement International Greater Manchester in honour of founder chairman JKSDMI Raja Najabat Hussain and Lord Mayor of Manchester Councillor Yasmine Dar. It was hosted by JKSDMI Manchester Chairperson Rubina Khan. Besides MP Andrew Gwynne, the event was attended by Consul General of Pakistan in Manchester Tariq Wazeer and other dignitaries. All the participants congratulated Raja Najabat Hussain and Yasmine Dar for their achievements and discussed the future activities on Kashmir in the UK and especially north of England.
Raja Najabat Hussain thanked Rubina Khan and her team for raising the voice of suffering people of Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir as well as cooperation with the JKSDMI in the UK and Europe. Councillor Yasmine said that JKSDMI is working with women’s and Youth groups all over the UK for empowerment of women and encouraging them to take part in the local and national politics under the leadership of Raja Najabat Hussain.
Andrew Gwynne congratulated both officials of the JKSDMI and said he has been working with the JKSDMI team from more than 10 years and these people always raised the Kashmir issue inside the Parliament and outside the Parliament including the party Conferences with the British Politicians. He assured that he will raise the voice of suffering people of Jammu and Kashmir for their basic rights and the case of Yaseen Malik with the British Government next week.
Consul General of Pakistan Tariq Wazeer praised the work of both leaders of the JKSDMI and whole team of Jammu Kashmir Self Determination Movement International. He assured the participants that Pakistan is committed to the Kashmiri people’s support for the Right of Self Determination under the United Nations Security Council Resolutions and will work closely with the British Kashmiris in his region. Councillor Naila Shareef newly appointed Chairperson briefed about the future activities of JKSDMI in UK and Europe.
