Muslim Excellence and Competitiveness Corporation’s Award team visit Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry

Islamabad, July 02, 2012 (PPI-OT): Sheikh Shakeel Ahmad Dhingra, Vice President the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) in a meeting with MECCAward team emphasized the need of greater interaction and cooperation among Muslim Countries. He further stated that the potential and resources available in Muslim States should be utilized for poverty alleviation.

The Muslim Excellence and Competitiveness Corporation’s Award (MECCAward) team visited FPCCI to give presentation on “Objectives of MECCA ward”. The three members’ team included Mr. Hasnain Reza Mirza, Commissioner to Pakistan and Chief national promoter by the OIC MECCA ward, Mr. Moustapha Baghdadi, Head of MECCAward Assessment Department and Member of MECCAward Experts Committee and Mr.Khashayar Ghulam Ali Ataie, Coordinator.

The team delivered presentations on objectives, concepts, activities and MECCA ward Excellence levels. They informed that who achieve highest score, are chosen as the role model at the level of Islamic countries and will receive award.

The awards are Golden prize, Silver prize, Bronze Prize and Certificate of Recognition and Certificate of Commitment to Excellence. The award grant ceremony is held annually and the prize will be offered to applicants’ assessed based on manual and award time table. Entry to MECCA ward is open to any kind of high performing organization operating within Islamic countries.

MECCAward team in collaboration with National Productivity Organization (NPO) is planning to launch this award in Pakistan. Mr.Saif-ur-Rahman, Deputy General Manager, NPO, also gave a presentation on the role and activities of NPO.

Mr. Siddique Sheikh, Advisor on Social Sector of FPCCI emphasized to incorporate Islamic values and competitiveness through Islamic tradition following the best practices taught by our religion. The meeting was attended by Mr.Zubair F.Tufail, former Vice President FPCCI,Ms. Farhana Iqbal, Chairperson, FPCCI Standing Committee on CSR, Mr. Saquib Fayyaz Member, E.C.FPCCI, Mr.Khalil Sattar, K and N’s Food, Syed Masood Alam Rizvi, Secretary General FPCCI, Mir Nasir Abbas, Director General, International Affairs,FPCCI, and others.
