Jeddah (UNA-OIC) � The Muslim World League (MWL) has launched its second urgent relief campaign to help Yemenis as part of the United Nations’ 2018 Yemen Humanitarian Response Plan, which seeks $2.96 billion to provide life-saving assistance to 13.1 million people.
This campaign comes within the framework of the comprehensive programs implemented by MWL’s International Association for Relief, Care and Development (IARCD) for the purpose of alleviating the suffering of the people of Yemen, as well as covering the needs of the displaced people and refugees in the governorates of Marib, Al-Jawf, Shabwah, Abyan and Hajjah
IARCD Secretary General Abdul Aziz Sarhan said the MWL has provided relief and health assistance to the most vulnerable people in Yemen, with an amount of about SR102.8 million ($27.4 million), benefiting more than two million people. He stressed that the League would implement many humanitarian projects to support Yemenis in all the country’s governorates
