Nation Marks Chehlum of Shuhada-e-Karbala with Solemn Processions and Enhanced Security

Islamabad: The Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions, commemorating their sacrifice at Karbala, was observed across Pakistan with due solemnity and heightened security on Monday.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, mourning processions were held in various cities and towns throughout the country, drawing thousands of devotees who gathered to pay tribute to the martyrs of Karbala. The government had implemented additional security measures to ensure the safety of participants during these processions.

The observance of Chehlum reflects the deep reverence held for Imam Hussain’s sacrifice and is a significant day of mourning for millions, reiterating themes of justice and virtue in Islam.
