Karachi: Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral M. Asif Sandeela Thursday called on Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan at Governor House.
Governor Sindh warmly welcomed the newly sworn in 19th Chief of the Naval Staff and discussed with him matters of mutual interest. He appreciated the role of Pak Navy during recent heavy rains particularly in lower Sindh.
He said that the lives of innocent poor people were saved and together relief activities including provision of food items, medical facilities and other assistance have provided lot of facilities to the affected people. He also added that the Navy also plays an important role in defending the homeland.
Chief of Naval Staff said that Navy being the potent fighting force, it will maintain high level of the operational preparedness at all times, and will focus and continue to strive hard to achieve. Regarding role of Navy during recent heavy rains, he said that Pak Navy would continue its efforts for relief and rehabilitation of affected people.
