Naval Chief Engages with International Forces During AMAN-25 Exercise

Karachi: Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of the Naval Staff, engaged with various foreign naval ships as part of the 9th Multinational Naval Exercise AMAN-25. The admiral’s visits included a series of ceremonial welcomes and discussions focused on enhancing collaborative maritime efforts.

According to a statement by Pakistan Navy, Admiral Ashraf visited a range of naval vessels, including those from Bangladesh, China, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States. These ships, such as the BNS SOMUDRA JOY, PLA (N) GAO YOUHU, and USS LEWIS B PULLER, are key participants in the ongoing naval exercise.

During his interactions, Admiral Ashraf emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to cooperative maritime security and maintaining order at sea. He highlighted the importance of initiatives like the Regional Maritime Security Patrol and the AMAN Exercise in fostering peace and boosting interoperability among regional and global navies.

The admiral underscored the potential for future growth in cooperation and partnership, aiming for a shared objective of peace and prosperity. He expressed appreciation for the international participation in the AMAN Exercise, which aligns with the common resolve of “Together for Peace.”
