NDMA anticipates more heavy rains in Punjab, KP

National Disaster Management Authority has anticipated more heavy rains and thunderstorms with gusty winds in most parts of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during next two days.

The Authority in a statement said heavy downpour may cause urban flooding in low lying areas of Islamabad and various cities in Punjab whereas increase in flows are expected in major streams in different districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The NDMA urged all relevant authorities and the public to take necessary precautions to mitigate the potential impacts of flash and urban flooding.
