Islamabad: Islamabad Police on Thursday arrested nine outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered 1.5 kilogram hashish, five wine bottles, nine cans of beer and weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said.
According to details, Hamad Ahmed lodged complaint with Kohsar police that two persons have snatched cash and mobile from him. Following this complaint, SHO Inspector Mehboob Ahmed and Sub-Inspector started the investigation and succeeded to arrest Khurram Shehzad and Ali Awan besides recovering snatched cash and mobile from them.
Bhara Kau police nabbed an accused Ajmal for involvement in a theft case while Tarnol police apprehended Waseem, Syed Amanat, Malik Imran for possessing five wine bottles as well as four cans of beer. Tarnol police also arrested Khan Riaz for having 1.100 kilogram hashish while Nilore police nabbed Talat Mehmud and Tanzeel ur Rehman for having 470 gram hashish.
SSP Islamabad Muhammad Yousuf Malik has appreciated this performance and directed to further intensify efforts against anti-social elements.
