Official delegation led by Ambassador of Iran meets Chief Executive, Trade Development Authority of Pakistan

Karachi, April 27, 2016 (PPI-OT):An official delegation led by Mr. Mehdi Honardoost, Ambassador of Islamic Republic of Iran meets with Chief Executive, TDAP today at TDAP office. Ambassador of Iran informed that Iran is planning to organise Single Country Exhibition at Karachi in September, 2016. He further informed that Pakistan being a neighbour country may avail opportunities offered in Iran. He further emphasized that linkage at institution level needs to be increased for better cooperation in all fields of trade.

Mr. S M Muneer, Chief Executive TDAP informed the delegates that Trade Development Authority of Pakistan is very much aware of opportunities offered in Iran, in this regard, a high power delegation led by Chief Executive himself will visit Iran in August, 2016. Delegation will comprise of all major stakeholders. Chief Executive further informed that government has already started working on opening of banking channels as it is major demand of trade on both sides.

He also informed that TDAP will organise Single Country Exhibition at Iran in August, 2016 and all products will be showcased to Iranian visitors. In this regard needful preparations have already been started by TDAP. He also emphasized on the need of removing technical barriers to trade (TBTs) as it is giving uneven benefits to our competitors. He also informed the delegates that Pakistan will actively participate in any trade related exhibitions at Iran.
