OIC condemns Israeli demolition of Palestinian homes in Jerusalem

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has strongly condemned the illegal demolition by Israel, the occupying power, of dozens of houses in Wadi Al-Hummus in the town of Sur Baher in East Jerusalem.

OIC Secretary General Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen stressed that this serious escalation is part of the incessant attempts by the Israeli occupation to change the legal status and demographic structure of Jerusalem city and forcibly displace the Palestinian citizens from their lands and properties, which requires legal accountability.

The Secretary General also called on the international community to compel Israel to desist from its illegal practices and put an end to all Israeli actions that violate the rights of the Palestinians.
