Pak-Korea Relations to be strengthened further: Mian Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo

Islamabad: Mian Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo, Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan has said that Pakistan and North Korea enjoy warm and cordial relationship which needs to be strengthened further. He said this in a meeting with H. E. Mr. Ro Kyong Chol, Ambassador of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea who called on him today in Islamabad.

Korean Ambassador briefed the Federal Minister on the latest development in his country especially, North Korean government’s official policy on bilateral relations with the South Korea, unification of two Koreas and denuclearization of Korean peninsula Mian Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo told the Korean Ambassador that Pakistan is a friend of North Korea and fully supports her official policy of reconciliation and cooperation in the region.

“Pakistan will welcome any proposals for the unification of Koreas which are acceptable to both sides”, the Minister added. Mr. Wattoo also emphasized to increase bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the areas of economy and trade, science and technology, social sector and governance.

Korean Ambassador invited the Federal Minister to visit his country saying that the bilateral visits from the leadership of two countries will further strengthen the relations.
