Pakistan and Oman Enhance Ties in 8th Bilateral Political Consultations

Muscat: The eighth session of the Pakistan-Oman Bilateral Political Consultations convened today, strengthening cooperation across multiple sectors including trade, security, and diplomatic relations.

According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the session was led by Ambassador Shehryar Akbar Khan from Pakistan and Ambassador Sheikh Ahmad bin Hashil bin Rashid Al Maskari from Oman. The discussions focused on enhancing political relations and expanding trade and investment. Both sides underscored the importance of the Joint Ministerial Commission and agreed to host its next session in Islamabad soon.

The consultations also touched on regional stability and global issues, including the conflicts in Gaza and Jammu and Kashmir. Both nations expressed a need for peaceful resolutions and continued support for the Palestinian cause. The Omani side endorsed the upcoming Pakistani Business Expo in Muscat and the new visa-on-arrival policy for Omani nationals, aiming to deepen economic and cultural ties.
