Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif received a telephone call from Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani today. During the conversation, the two leaders exchanged views on the prevailing regional situation and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting ongoing efforts aimed at ensuring lasting peace in the region.
According to Radio Pakistan, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif recalled his recent visit to Doha last month, highlighting the productive meetings he had with Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and other Qatari leaders. These meetings were aimed at building consensus on peace efforts, a goal that both countries are committed to achieving.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed the anticipation of the Pakistani people for the Amir of Qatar’s visit at an early convenient date, emphasizing that such a visit would further strengthen Pakistan-Qatar relations. In response, the Prime Minister of Qatar appreciated Pakistan’s efforts for peace and stability in the region and assured his support for diplomatic initiatives aimed at ensuring peace, security, and stability in the Middle East.
The conversation concluded with both leaders agreeing to maintain close contact and continue their coordination on matters of mutual interest, reinforcing the strong ties between Pakistan and Qatar.
