Pakistan and Turkiye Commit to Boost Defense and Security Cooperation

Rawalpindi: Pakistan and Turkiye have reaffirmed their commitment to further enhancing their strategic friendship and boosting bilateral defense and security cooperation. The agreement was reiterated during a meeting between Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza and Commander Turkish Air Force General Ziya Cemal Kadioglu in Rawalpindi.

According to Radio Pakistan, the discussions between the two military leaders focused on professional matters, particularly the evolving global and regional geo-strategic environment. Both officials emphasized the importance of bilateral collaboration in promoting peace and stability in the region and shared their strategic priorities.

General Kadioglu expressed appreciation for the professional standards of the Pakistan Armed Forces, acknowledging their achievements and sacrifices in the fight against terrorism, as well as their ongoing efforts toward regional peace and stability.

Upon his arrival at the Joint Staff Headquarters, General Kadioglu was presented with a Guard of Honour by a smartly turned-out tri-services contingent.
