Islamabad: On the occasion of Youm-e-Istehsal, marking the anniversary of India’s actions in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), the Pakistan Armed Forces, led by the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee and Service Chiefs, have reiterated their strong solidarity with the people of Kashmir.
According to Inter Services Public Relations, the Armed Forces condemned the ongoing violations of international law by Indian Security Forces in IIOJK. These violations include a military lockdown, efforts to change the demographic structure of the region, and continuous human rights abuses which they described as deeply reprehensible. These actions, along with the Indian government’s aggressive stance, are viewed as exacerbating the security and humanitarian crises in the region.
The statement emphasized that lasting peace and stability in South Asia are contingent upon resolving the Kashmir dispute in line with United Nations resolutions and the will of the Kashmiri people. The Pakistan Armed Forces also paid tribute to the martyrs of IIOJK, vowing to continue their support for the Kashmiris’ struggle for self-determination on political, moral, and humanitarian grounds.
