Islamabad: Pakistan’s Minister for Board of Investment, Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh, has emphasized the enduring and robust friendship between Pakistan and China, describing the bilateral relationship as time-tested and iron-clad. Speaking at a ceremony commemorating the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations, Sheikh highlighted the strength and resilience of their ties, which have withstood numerous challenges over the years.
According to Radio Pakistan, Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh lauded the depth of the relationship, noting that it is characterized by unwavering trust, mutual support, and strategic cooperation. He expressed Pakistan’s appreciation for China’s steadfast support in various socio-economic development areas and regional connectivity initiatives.
The Minister underscored the importance of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), which he stated is crucial for Pakistan’s infrastructure development, investment promotion, energy security, and industrial growth. Sheikh’s remarks spotlight the significance of CPEC in fostering closer economic ties and furthering development goals within Pakistan.
